Tech helping to create connection
In today’s world, having a computer and internet access is critical.
Computers help people stay in touch with family, talk to doctors, apply for help, pay taxes, fulfill their basic needs and apply for jobs. It’s not just a luxury, it’s a basic need for daily life.
Thanks to the support of our donors, 46 of our locations got new, fast and reliable computers this summer. People are already using them and seeing the benefits.
Nicole, who lives at Burnham Place, loves being more connected to her family on social media. She’s also been able to search for furniture for her home and look for job opportunities.
Nicole said that because of the reliable technology, she feels reassured knowing that Coast is there to help with her tech needs.
Brenda lives at Maple Ridge Modulars. The new computers help her stay in touch with family and friends via email. She also enjoys reading the news and learning new things on the internet. And she likes to stream movies too.
