You may have noticed that we’ve been less active on X (Twitter). Over the past few months, we’ve been posting less on there, and have been increasing our social media presence on other platforms.
Over the years, we have used Twitter to have hundreds of interesting and enjoyable conversations with the mental health community and the wider sector. However, the platform no longer aligns with our values.
Our core values of Hope, Compassion, Courage, Respect, and Collaboration are at the heart of this decision. Our commitment to our values means we cannot continue to actively engage with a platform that increasingly has divisive content.
As an organization dedicated to mental health, we believe our resources are better directed toward platforms that encourage more constructive environments for meaningful engagement and community building.
As such, Coast Mental Health will no longer be posting to X from April 14, 2025.
We will not be closing our account, as many of our followers are still active on the platform and may want to access past conversations or to contact us through X.
We look forward to focusing our efforts on other platforms, and we would particularly love to see our followers join us on LinkedIn or our new Bluesky account, where we are sharing all our latest stories and updates: http://coastmentalhealth.bsky.social.
