Planning and Partnership Committee

Purpose:
The Committee is to give direction to Board, Management and Consumers on programs and services within Coast, and reports directly to the Board of Directors.

To assure consumers, staff and management work together with common values for Coast Mental Health’s services.  To review plans and the responses to needs of Coast’s current and potential consumers.  To periodically review Coast’s progress in addressing these needs and make recommendations when appropriate.

2008/09 Achievements

• Reporting and Reviewing on several safety issues and initiatives across Coast
• Advising management & the Board on several housing developments including new Surrey and Burnaby projects
• Representing Coast clients and participating in the development of the 2008/12 Strategic Plan
• Participating in the 2008 & 2009 Open Spaces events
• Helping in preparations for and participating in the 2009 Accreditation
• Met with Community Court representatives
• Met with Research for Change peer researchers
• Several education sessions and discussions on ethics.
