Coast promotes recovery of persons with mental illness. Coast improves the lives of people with a mental illness by providing practical and pragmatic help such as housing, jobs, community, rehabilitative social and recreational opportunities, food, clothing and basic life skills training. Coast welcomes anyone with a mental illness to participate in our services and programs. We also welcome volunteers and financial supporters to help us do our job better. |
On May 2,2010, St. Andrews Wesley United Church in Vancouver provided the first year’s $6,000 of a 3 year commitment to subsidize the rent of a person with a mental illness in need of housing. This project is called Homes to Heal which is a good representation of the objectives of Coast Mental Health's housing programs. For more information about Homes to Heal, go to www.homestoheal.com.
