Volunteer OpportunitiesCoast welcomes volunteers, practicum students or those seeking pre-admission experience in the Mental Health field. Volunteers provide valuable services at Coast, sharing their time, interests or expertise in a variety of settings. Volunteers work alongside staff, enhancing our services – and building a synergy that will lead us into our future. The volunteer experience at Coast includes an orientation, opportunities to tour many of our programs, ongoing support and training and the chance to work in the community to improve the lives of our clients. We are committed to matching volunteers with positions that suit their interests, abilities and volunteer goals. Volunteers interested in working with our clients should be at least 18 years of age, and able to share at least two hours a week for a minimum of four months. Experience working in the mental health field is not necessary. Read about our Volunteer Success Stories > Current volunteers: Read about upcoming volunteer events > The application process is simpleSubmit the on-line application form and we will call you for an interview to assess your interests and availability. Positions that involve client interaction will also require a criminal records check – we will supply you with everything you need at your interview.
