Qualifications

Coast employs Mental Health Workers on an ongoing basis. Other occupations include Activity Workers, Rehabilitation Counselors, Employment Counselors, Cooks, Building Operators, Maintenance Personnel, Outreach workers, Community Mental Health Workers and Clerical staff. Unsolicited applications are welcomed.

Applicants are considered on the following basis:

Mental Health workers:

  • Completion of post-secondary education programs in mental health or residential care.
  • Availability to work Overnight and Weekend shifts
  • Comparable post secondary education with experience in the field

All applicants must be able to:

  1. Obtain a Criminal Record Check (acceptable to Coast Foundation Society)
  2. Obtain a negative Tuberculosis Test
  3. Provide three (3) work related references
  4. Obtain a Residential First Aid Certificate.

Assets include:

  • WHMIS
  • Foodsafe

Coast thanks all applicants. Resumes are reviewed for meeting Coast minimum requirements. If they do, Program Managers will contact applicants directly for an interview and further testing.
