Partnering

Since the beginning Coast has been part of a network of organizations in Vancouver that have worked together to provide a comprehensive range of services for people who are recovering from a serious mental illness. Coast has made use of publicly funded housing programs to build its apartments and publicly funded mental health programs to provide support services as well as the programs at the Clubhouse and Centre.

Coast has also been enterprising in seeking direct support from the public and the private sector to provide more housing and support services than would be possible with government support alone. Coast has partnered with a number of organizations, in relation to housing programs, including a church congregation, an employee association, a financial institution and other societies.
